The Honorable Toni Rose Texas House of Representatives State Representative:
Toni Rose is a compassionate leader who was elected in 2012 to represent District 110 in the Texas House of Representatives. Her legislative focus includes mental health reform, access to affordable healthcare, improving the quality of life for aging populations, and the underserved communities alike, as well as juvenile and criminal justice reforms.
Representative Rose is a mental health professional and is seen as a thought leader in the House of Representatives and across the state of Texas on issues of mental health. She is an accomplished legislator authoring and passing several bills. Her proven leadership coupled with her knowledge of the legislative process were instrumental in her election as Treasurer of the Texas House Democratic Caucus, Secretary of the Texas Legislative Black Caucus and Treasurer of the National Organization of Black Elected Legislative Women.
Representative Rose obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Paul Quinn College. A historically black college that she now has the pleasure of representing as part of Texas House District 110.

The Honorable Victoria Neave, State Representative for House District 107:
Victoria Neave represents Texas House District 107, which includes parts of Dallas, Mesquite, and Garland. During the 85th legislative session, she served on the House Committee on Judiciary and Civil Jurisprudence and the House Committee on County Affairs. Victoria is the Vice-Chair of the Young Texans Legislative Caucus and is also a member of the Democratic Caucus, the Mexican American Legislative Caucus, the Women's Health Caucus, the Veterans Caucus, and the Manufacturers Caucus. She passed several bills that will help the state address the backlog of thousands of untested rape kits, will protect the elderly and adults with intellectual disabilities and designated June 12 as Women Veterans Day in Texas. Additionally, Representative Neave, with the help of several organizations, led the historic Dallas Women’s March in January 2017 which drew an estimated 10,000 people. Due to her work this session, Victoria was named "Freshman of the Year" by the House Democratic Caucus, to the "Top 5 North Texas Legislators" by the Dallas Observer, and "Public Elected Official of the Year" by the National Association of Social Workers, North Central Texas-Dallas Area Branch.
Victoria grew up in Pleasant Grove in Dallas and comes from a working class family. Victoria became the first in her family to graduate from college earning her degree in Government and Politics from The University of Texas at Dallas and then graduating in the top of her law school class at Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law. Victoria runs her own law firm, Neave Law PC, where she represents individuals and businesses in civil litigation and employment law.

Elizabeth Walley, VP Outreach, League of Women Voter Dallas
There are few forces that influence our lives as much as government. Sometimes the influence is overt, sometimes subtle, but the nature and quality of our government pervades nearly every aspect of daily life. Elizabeth Walley came to appreciate this during a career working for and in government - as an auditor, consultant and finally as a municipal finance director – and determined that after retirement she would dedicate time to doing what she could to make government work for us all. The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, turned out to be a good fit, offering Elizabeth the opportunity to do what she loves best, educate and engage people in voting, that most important aspect of citizenship. For the past several years Elizabeth has served as the Vice President of Voter Outreach for the League of Women Voters of Dallas, where she oversees voter registration, voter guide production and voter education. She lives with her husband and cats in Mesquite.
