Women Veterans Day 2020 - Call for Volunteers

  • Veteran Women's Enterprise Center (VWEC) 4900 South Lancaster Road Dallas United States (map)

In 2018, the State of Texas held its first official Women Veterans Day (WVD) celebration, in collaboration with the 70th Anniversary of the 1948 Women's Armed Services Integration Act. We experienced an amazing day of engaging events across the State.

The DFW Coalition intends to work every year to make this event a day that effectively engages and celebrates the history of all women who have and are serving in our military!

We've have already started planning for Women Veterans Day 2020, and we invite you to get involved. Come out Friday, October 4, to meet the men and women who have already joined the team. Get involved by signing up to join or lead a committee.

We will only be successful, when we truly engage the collective voices of all our women in the military (active duty, reservist, retired, veterans and spouses); to this end, this is an open call for volunteers to solicit input from women in the military as well as our brothers-in-arms and patriots interested in helping to make 2020 our best year ever.

NOTE: For those of you who are not aware, Women Veterans Day is not designed to separate us from our brothers-in-arms, it's designed to highlight the unique history of women who have and are serving in our military. A proud history of women devoted to securing means to actively support and defend our nation.

Mark your calendars now for June 12, 2020 - Women Veterans Day!
