3rd Wednesdays - Women Warriors Winning the Business Battle

  • Veteran Women's Enterprise Center (VWEC) 4900 South Lancaster Road Dallas United States (map)

As we prepare to celebrate African American History Month, we are excited to announce that our Words of Wisdom Keynote will feature Sharon Douglas, President, Potere Construction LLC.

Sharon has received several awards in the industry, including the Luna Construction Award of the year, Luna Rising Star Firm, Black Chamber Business Woman of the year Engle Award, NCTRCA Outstanding DBE of the Year, and the Texas Governor’s Award 2018 among others. Although she has received many awards, Sharon’s greatest accomplishment has been to direct the company’s growth from a construction cleaning company to a heavy highway self-performance company with outstanding experience and financial growth.  She was the keynote at our Soft Opening in 2018 and we are thrilled to welcome her back to the VWEC to share her words of wisdom.

As previously noted, we have revamped and renamed our 3rd Wednesdays program to Women Warriors Winning the Business Battle designed to help women veteran owned businesses, military spouses and our surrounding business community apply successful strategies to build:

  • Personal/Professional Confidence

  • Business Credit & Access to Capital

  • Business to Business Sales
