We invite entrepreneurs to join our Next Level Business Transformation, COVID 19 Summer Master Class Series as our presenters bring the best of the best in expertise focused on fiscal continuity, technology, sales and marketing.

NLBT is designed to help women veteran entrepreneurs and female military spouses not only survive COVID 19, but transform their businesses to the next level so they can truly thrive!

Technology Part 1. - Friday, September 4, 2020 - 11AM-1PM

2 hours focused on client relationship management, assessing current and/or identifying and securing a CRM platform. Reviewing business processes for potential upgrades and automation.

MEET OUR PRESENTER:

Alicia Makaye - Vice President, GXA

Alicia Makaye (the “A” in GXA) is a philanthropist, entrepreneur, and co-founder/co-owner of GXA.  Alicia is a U.S. Air Force Veteran and a graduate of U.T. Dallas with a Ph.D. in Public Affairs. She is an alumni of Goldman Sachs 10,000, Small Businesses Entrepreneurship Program (Cohort 10).  Dr. Makaye currently serves on multiple boards including Dallas County Community College District Foundation Board.  

Dr. Makaye has received the following honors: Dallas Business Journal’s Minority Business Leader; Minority Women Business Entrepreneur of the Year Award; Alumna of the Year at UT Dallas; Air Force Achievement Medal; and most recently, nominated as ‘Women of the Year.’ 

GXA is an IT Solutions company that helps build stronger businesses for small to medium size businesses in the Dallas Ft Worth area supported by 20 employees.  GXA was recognized as the recipient of the Inc. 5000 Award, as one of America’s fastest growing companies in 2014/2019 and Texas most inspiring companies in 2020.  In 2018, GXA was recognized for providing over 75,000 to a local pantry. 

Alicia with her husband of 19 years, George Makaye, founded GXA on an idea sketched on a napkin 16 years ago.  GXA launched in 2004, as an LLC and in 2008, it was officially incorporated.  Since the launch of GXA in 2004, Alicia Makaye and her husband, had 2 children now 5 and 12 years old. 

Currently, Alicia has jumped into commercial real estate, securing the purchase of her first commercial property located in Richardson, Texas, which she named Makaye @ CityLine. The new property is home to GXA and Makaye InfoSec (GXA’s Cyber Security Division), with 10,000 square feet of available rental space.
