The VWEC is honored to join a select group of nonprofits participating in the Nonprofit Village at the first annual National Life Group Do Good Fest in Texas, Friday, October 7. This Do Good Fest is a a benefit music concert presented at the Levitt Pavilion Arlington.

Do Good Fest is National Life’s way of giving back to the community. Having hosted this free concert since 2014 in Vermont, National Life is now bringing the fun to Texas! This event highlights the good in our communities by including local vendors and the nonprofits that support our neighbors every day.

The Nonprofit Village opens at 5PM, the show will begin at 7:00 pm. Come hungry as a variety of Food Trucks will be onsite for your enjoyment.

The concert will benefit Parkland Health’s Pediatric Behavioral Health Program.

Gangstagrass will be headlining Do Good Fest Texas! You might’ve heard their hit song “Long Hard Times to Come,” as the theme to the hit FX drama Justified, for which they were nominated for an Emmy.

Led by Brooklyn producer Rench, Gangstagrass are known for their unique blend of bluegrass, hip-hop, and electro beats. It might seem like an unlikely recipe for success, but that mix has taken Gangstagrass straight to the top of the bluegrass charts. Their recent live album spent almost 20 weeks in the top 10. The band packs concert halls, rock and country music clubs, and festivals with impressive live shows featuring their hybrid of jam band improvisation, prodigious bluegrass chops, and socially-conscious rapping. We can’t wait to have them on the Do Good Fest Texas stage!
