As Trade Commissioner with the Consulate General of Canada in Dallas, Ms. Aune promotes new business development between Canadian and U.S. companies involved in the agriculture/agrifood and infrastructure/forestry economic sectors. She provides the market intelligence, strategy, and counsel to Canadian corporate clients and advises Global Affairs Canada and other federal and provincial departments on business opportunities and economic trends in the Consulate=s service territory of the South Central United States - Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. Aune has served Canada in this capacity for more than 25 years.
Prior to her work with the Government of Canada, Ms. Aune worked as a financial analyst with a public accounting and consulting firm in Texas. She specialized in providing financial performance assessments and competitive improvement strategies for manufacturing companies. Ms. Aune began her career as a financial analyst and stockbroker in the financial services industry, where she was responsible for producing research reports covering publicly traded companies and investment opportunities in the Southwestern U.S.
Ms. Aune is an 8th generation Texan.
