On Wednesday, March 23, 2022, our Founder/CEO VR Small spent the day in DC with JP Morgan Chase celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Veteran Jobs Mission, originally projected to engage 30 companies to employ just 100,000 veterans, now reporting more than 800,000 veterans employed, and 250+ participating organizations.
The VWEC salutes all of the Coalition’s hard work and genuine commitment to supporting the smooth and successful transition of veterans into living their version of the American Dream. We also applause the Coalition’s goals to expand their commitment to reach 2 million veteran hires, and 200,000 military/veteran spouse hires over the next 10 years.
Fortunately for the VWEC, JP Morgan has a well-rounded view of the needs of veterans, which includes entrepreneurship. To this end, we were honored to be amongst an expo highlighting a variety of nonprofits they sponsor that support our veteran and military family communities.
We met so many amazing people, and we hope to continue to build upon these relationships as we continue our mission to empower entrepreneur women associated with the military to scale for success!
Many thanks to all the amazing presenters especially Jamie Dimon, Chairman and CEO of JPMorgan Chase, Alex Gorsky, CEO and Chairman of Johnson & Johnson and Mark Elliott, Head of Military and Veterans Affairs, JPMorgan Chase. We also want to acknowledge the JP Morgan Chase staff members that supported our participation before, during, and after the event, including but is not limited to Ashley Hawkes, Alexis Miller, Abraham Blocker, Ariann Lane, Max E Lane, Gemma Park, and Evan Barnard.
Special thanks and acknowledgement to our local provider Michelle Matta www.ATurtleLovesMe.com. for the selection of an amazing display of promotional items.
