Walmart's Road to Open Call event, supported by IVMF, hosted at the VWEC

Walmart's Road to Open Call 2026 is coming to Dallas, TX

What is Open Call?

Now in its 13th year, Walmart's Annual Open Call connects U.S.-based entrepreneurs directly with Walmart and Sam's Club merchants to pitch shelf-ready products - with the potential to land deals for store shelves and Walmart.com.

It's a cornerstone of Walmart's $350 billion commitment to products made, grown, or assembled in America by 2030, supporting more than 750,000 U.S. jobs.

About the Dallas Stop hosted at the Veteran Women’s Enterprise Center

This stop is part of a nationwide tour bringing Walmart directly to entrepreneurs before the main Open Call event on October 6–7, 2026.

Selected participants will get face time with Walmart merchants and the chance to scale their business with one of the world's largest retailers.

First Mondays Group Mentoring: Mission

May 4th Group Mentoring Session

In-Person | First Monday of Each Month | 12 PM – 1 PM CST

Mission

Every successful business knows what it does.
The most impactful businesses know why they exist.

Your mission defines the purpose of your company. It explains the problem you are solving, who you serve, and the impact your work is meant to create.

When a mission is clearly defined, it becomes more than a statement—it becomes a decision-making framework that guides strategy, leadership, and growth.

A strong mission helps entrepreneurs:

  • Communicate their purpose clearly to customers and partners

  • Build a stronger brand rooted in meaning and impact

  • Align business decisions with long-term goals

  • Inspire teams, collaborators, and clients to believe in the work

Research consistently shows that organizations built around a clear mission perform better across multiple areas of business.

  • Purpose-driven organizations are 22% more productive than those without a clearly defined mission.

In short, when people understand why the work matters, they perform at a higher level.

What You’ll Gain from This Session

During this interactive group mentoring session, participants will explore how to refine or redefine the mission that drives their business.

Participants will:

  • Define the purpose behind their business and the impact it is designed to create

  • Clarify how their mission connects to customers and community

  • Strengthen their brand messaging and positioning

  • Learn how a strong mission supports leadership, culture, and growth

The goal is not simply to write a mission statement.

The goal is to ensure your business operates with clarity, purpose, and alignment.

The Power of Group Mentoring

These sessions are intentionally designed as small group mentoring experiences, allowing entrepreneurs to share perspectives, exchange insights, and learn from one another’s experiences.

With only 10 participants per session, each entrepreneur has the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussion and leave with practical insights they can immediately apply to their business.

No-shows will not be able to register for future sessions

Reserve Your Seat

If you want your business to stand for something meaningful—and communicate that purpose with clarity—this session will help you begin that work.

Seats are limited to maintain a focused mentoring environment.

April 6rh Group Mentoring Session

In-Person | First Monday of Each Month | 12 PM – 1 PM CST

Vision & Values

Every strong business begins with clarity.

Before marketing strategies, sales plans, or operational systems can truly work, entrepreneurs must first define where their business is going and the principles that guide how they build it.

Your vision defines the future you are working toward.
Your values determine how you lead, make decisions, and build relationships along the way.

Together, they become the strategic compass for your business.

When entrepreneurs are clear about their vision and values, they gain something incredibly powerful: alignment.

Decisions become easier, branding becomes more authentic, and the right clients and opportunities begin to show up.

What You’ll Gain from This Session

During this small-group mentoring session, participants will:

• Clarify the vision for their business
• Identify the values that guide leadership and decision-making
• Begin aligning their branding and growth strategies
• Learn alongside other women entrepreneurs navigating similar challenges

You will leave with a clearer articulation of your business direction and a framework for making more confident strategic decisions.

Why Group Mentoring Works

Mentorship is widely recognized as one of the most powerful tools for entrepreneurial success. Businesses that participate in mentoring programs are significantly more likely to survive and grow.

Group mentoring strengthens that impact by creating a space where entrepreneurs can exchange ideas, learn from peers, and build meaningful connections that support long-term growth.

To ensure meaningful discussion, each session is limited to 10 participants.

Reserve Your Seat

If you are ready to strengthen the foundation of your business and gain clarity about where you are going next, we invite you to join us.
